Webster defines worship as “reverent love and devotion...” We understand that worship is first and foremost about God. It is an acknowledgement of who God is and what He has done in our lives and in turn we respond with reverence, awe and devotion. We also believe that worship is lived out as we surrendor our lives (Romans 12:1-2), and therefore is not just confined to a service.
However, we also understand the profound impact music has in drawing us into worship. That is why it is our goal to design services that will help you to first encounter our Holy and Loving God, secondly to be drawn into communion with the Father through your response, and finally will empower you to go out and serve others for His glory.
Our worship style is a blend of very contemporary music and theologically deep, traditional hymns. More than our music style, our focus is on the song choice. We desire to organize our service around the theme of the message and therefore our choice of music centers around picking songs that convey the message for that week. This way our music is purposeful, not arbitrary.
Our Praise Team/Band is a talented group of musicians who willingly give of their gifts to help lead worship. Choir Practice is each Wednesday evening at 6:45 pm. Praise Team/Band Practice is each Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm and Sunday Morning at 8:30 am.
