Outreach

Cross Cultural Event

On Saturday, December 3rd, you are invited to a cross-cultural event happening in our fellowship hall starting at 10:00 a.m. Superintendent Randy Craker will share with us about the beginnings of the Church of the Nazarene and how the denomination’s roots are indeed “missionary”. Other “missionaries” from the district will also be sharing. The event will end with lunch together. This is an opportunity you won’t want to miss. If you plan to attend, please let the church office staff know so Pastor Dana knows how many to expect. Questions? See Pastor Dana or call the church office.

Outreach / Community Events

Here at Kennewick Nazarene, we take very seriously our call to minister to our world.  Outreach is an integral part of who we are.  We are actively involved in participating with the Nazarene Church in global missions, but we also understand that missions is also about ministering to those just across the street.  We have many outreach programs and opportunties in both our Local Missions and Global Missions.

  Local Missions

In our effort to help our community, our church provides a food pantry ministry. Food Box orders usually take 1 to 2 business days to fill. Please contact the church office if you are in need of groceries and to schedule a time to pick up the box

For other needs beyond groceries and food, we partner with Jericho Road Ministries and utilize the local assistance database set up among local churches. All individuals requesting non-food assistance will be scheduled to meet with an interviewer to assess the need and possible solutions. If you are in need of assistance with bills, lodging or gas, please contact the church office to set up an interview time.

Our church also participates in the local "ShareFest". This annual event is an opportunity for local churches to band together and pool their financial and volunteer resources to help meet local needs in the community. Each year the churches pull together to tackle different projects around the Tri-Cities, sacrificing a Saturday to accomplish great things.

Global Missions

As a denomination, missions have been central to our identity as The Church of The Nazarene.  Currently the Church of the Nazarene is in 155 world areas, with that number expanding every day.

Here in our local congregation we support global missions:

  • Through Praying and interceding for leaders and church around the world
  • Through Education of our people with guests missionary speakers, missionary books and curriculum
  •  Through Discipling and encouraging our local congregation to get involved in mission trips and ministries
  • Through Giving by devoting ourselves and our resources to our World Evangelism fund and other special offerings
